Whether you’re preparing for a natural disaster or just want to be prepared for the zombie apocalypse, there are five items every prepper needs to hoard.

There are many items that you may need to hoard in order to survive the worst-case scenario.

Whether it is a natural disaster, terrorist attack, or nuclear fallout, certain things should be at the top of your list.

We have all watched films about various disaster scenarios but have you ever thought about what you would do if that happened to you.

First of all, you have to be informed and prepared.

We are not talking about food, water, and other necessities that will keep you alive.

Here are five items every prepper needs to hoard.

1. Aspirin

Even though Aspirin is a pain reliever that keeps your heart healthy, there are more practical uses.

For example, when you directly apply it to the skin, Aspirin will relieve a bee sting, mosquito bites, and other insect irritations.

You can also use it for washing your laundry.

You only need to crush the Aspirin in water and put your laundry in it, let it sit for the night, and then you can wash it with clean water.

I know, I know, but this really does work.

If you find yourself in the wild and happen to get a toothache, a dentist may not be on standby.

In this case, you will simply crush your Aspirin and put it on the tooth that is causing you pain.

You will be relieved in no time.

2. Baking soda

Baking soda is one of the healthiest products known to mankind.

In survival times, water is a precious resource, so the last thing you need to do is use it to extinguish flames.

Therefore, if you want to extinguish flames, you should use baking soda instead.

Just throw it on fire, and in a matter of minutes, your fire will be out.

Baking soda is also a natural deodorant, so you smell a bit bad; all you need to do is put a little bit under your armpits, and you will feel fresh again.

If you are experiencing a stinky foot problem, you can put a small amount of baking soda in your shoes and wait for the night.

The following day, all fungi and bacteria will be gone.

3. Bleach

Bleach is a standard household cleaner that is found in almost every home.

A versatile cleaner, bleach can be used in many different ways, especially when you’re in survival mode.

It is one of the necessities if you want to get rid of bacteria, but it has poisonous effects.

You could use it to purify water if you need to wash something but remember not to drink that water because bleach is a carcinogen.

It will help you clean your dishes without water, but remember to let them dry after washing because bleach is poisonous.

The main reason you should bring beach is its antibacterial use.

4. Can Opener

In every possible disaster scenario, it is far better to eat canned food.

The main reason is cans are not only compact and easy to store but also reasonably durable.

It may not be healthy, but it will last longer than any other food.

However, to open those cans, you must have the right tool for the job.

Also, remember to bring more than one as they can break, and you may lose one or two of them.

5. Matches

In the wilderness, nights could get cold, so you always have to be prepared.

You should bring matches but don’t be content with only one package, take as many as you can.

They will come in handy on different occasions such as lighting fires, disinfection of numerous tools, and even disinfection of wounds.

To sum it up

Hoarding is not only beneficial for worst-case scenarios but can also be used as a form of savings or investment.

As you can see, there are many items that you will need to hoard to help you survive any type of major crisis.

I hope that this blog post has given you some ideas that will help you prepare for whatever may come.
