Self-Defense Mindset: Taking Your Mindset from Soft to Hardcore!

A self-defense mindset is a vital survival skill that is often overlooked in most modern prepper circles.

The world is becoming increasingly dangerous by the day, and many people are afraid.

This fear makes it hard for us to look at the world in the right way, and it can even hold us back in life.

To fight this fear, we need to change our mindset, to take it from soft to hardcore.

Crime always increases during major crises, whether it’s a natural disaster, a terrorist attack, or even war.

Either law enforcement has a lot on its plate because it has to help with the recovery.

But, on the other hand, if the crisis is severe, law enforcement may crumble.

Criminals will be on the loose, looking for opportunities to commit crimes.

Hundreds of thousands of home break-ins occur each year in the United States, resulting in robberies, assaults, rapes, and other crimes.

This is in the middle of a period of peace.

Imagine how much worse things will be if a crisis occurs.

Let’s talk about guns

If you reside in a place where gun ownership is legal, you should own a gun.

But, unfortunately, millions of individuals are in a difficult situation here.

They oppose gun ownership because they feel that permissive gun laws contribute to crime and school shootings.

They believe that owning a firearm makes them a part of the problem.

When they are told that firearms are their greatest form of self-defense, they experience feelings of remorse, helplessness, and fury.

Usually, this problem can be solved by understanding that owning a gun does not make you a bad person.

People are not killed by guns, as the saying goes.

People kill people, and the harsh reality is that criminals who wish to harm you will most likely be armed.

Guns are one of the most polarizing things in America.

Whether you’re for or against them, guns are a part of our culture.

Regardless of your stance on guns, you can’t deny that owning a gun is a crucial choice to make.

Gun owners’ responsibility is to make sure their gun is safe.

Being responsible makes you an accountable person. Remember that before you make any hasty decisions.

Build Your Survival Mindset

As a survivalist, you must cultivate a tough mindset that will improve your survival chances if things go wrong.

For example, if you’re sleeping at home and hear someone prying open your front door with a crowbar, the sound of a shotgun being racked will scare any potential intruders away.

What if you don’t have access to one?

Three or even more intruders may break-in.

The danger level rises several notches if you have a wife or children.

Rapes and deaths have occurred as a result of numerous home invasions.

Level the playing field

There are several reasons why owning a gun can be beneficial.

For one, it helps people defend themselves against criminals.

It may sound crazy, but it has been shown time after time that criminals are less likely to commit crimes if their potential victims are well-armed.

The use of a firearm evens the playing field.

Even if there are five intruders, having a gun means that one or two of them could not walk out unscathed.

  1. That is a risk that no criminal will be willing to take.
  2. They are looking for easy prey and easy loot.
  3. The media frequently portrays firearms as the source of a slew of societal problems.
  4. The truth is that firearms have always been in existence.
  5. The root causes of gun violence among young people are a lack of education, discipline, and parental neglect.

Feeling guilty about owning a gun is a waste of time.

To stay safe, you’ll need guns.

Find a way out

Being pleasant and polite has the potential to kill you.

Likewise, attempting to reason your way out of a difficult circumstance can result in death.

It’s best to let the gun do the talking in critical and perhaps deadly situations.

When dealing with someone attempting to hurt you, it may come down to whether you or they will survive.

But, first, you must comprehend and accept this.

It isn’t nice or terrible in any way. It is what it is, and it has nothing to do with you as a person.

You must remind yourself that it is your obligation to protect your loved ones and yourself.

Firearms are required to accomplish this. So you’ll be alright as long as you’re a responsible gun owner.

Get proper training

Get the training you need to be able to handle a handgun safely and effectively.

Enroll your family members in firearm training as well, if they are old enough.

This is how you can make sure that everyone in your household knows how to use a pistol responsibly.

Being a good survivor necessitates a high level of self-esteem.

In addition, you must cultivate a serious, realistic, and ready-for-anything mindset.

Situations can quickly develop and turn lethal in a matter of seconds. When they do, be prepared.

To Sum it up

With that said, it is essential to maintain a self-defense mindset that is prepared to handle anything that may come your way.

If you think the world is full of sunshine and rainbows, you will be much less ready to handle the darker side of life.
