What are Preppers and are They Paranoid?

What are Preppers? A prepper is a person who takes steps to provide for their own needs in the case of an emergency.

Preppers have an action plan if something goes wrong.

They have an emergency kit, often stocked at home.

The kit is usually in a backpack or duffel bag to take with you if you need to evacuate.

In some cases, preppers will call them bug-out bags and they might have one for each one of their family members.

If you were ever in an emergency or evacuation situation, you would be glad that you took the time to prepare.

Some Common Issues Preppers Face

Criticism from friends or family is a common problem that many preppers experience.

People who like to live in the moment and not think about the future may find it absurd to prepare for a potential calamity such as a war or hurricane.

It’s critical to believe in why you’re doing what you’re doing as a survivalist.

There will be challenges, such as budgeting so that you can purchase stores and supplies.

There may be friction in your relationship if your partner is not on the same page as you.

The entire concept may appear pointless at times.

After all, it’s easy to blend in with the crowd and ignore any potential crises.

are preppers responsible or are they paranoid_

However, deep down, you may believe that this is the most important and responsible thing you can do to protect your family and yourself.

While it may appear to others that you are paranoid, you understand that rigorous preparation creates its own luck.

It is critical to believe in your purpose and aim throughout these times so that you do not lose heart.

Make a list of your objectives and keep a journal.

Define why you’re doing what you’re doing and keep it in mind at all times.

Why do preppers store food?

It may appear that storing food for a month is needless.

However, if there is a flood and the stores are closed, this food will keep you alive.

People panic during a crisis and rush to stores to clean the shelves of whatever they think they’ll need.

If you have pets, you’ll want to also have supplies for them.

It is also much less expensive to buy items in bulk and keep them in a dry, cool location.

Have a plan for a blackout and a plan for a flood.

Find a high spot in your home that’s near a water source that’s safe from flooding.

Keep a first aid kit and a flashlight that has a few extra batteries.

So, now the question is – Should they have been ready?

Yes, it is correct. It’s not a case of paranoia. It’s about being prepared for the worst.

If you’ve taken first aid lessons, you’ll find that the knowledge will come in helpful when you least expect it.

For example, you’ll know how to tie a sling over your friend’s or family member’s arm if they break it accidentally while hiking.

It doesn’t have to be a life-or-death scenario.

The abilities you learn will be helpful in a variety of scenarios.

what are preppers

A good example is, do you remember MacGyver, the TV show.

It was a big hit back in the day due to the character’s ingenuity.

Despite this, MacGyver was a survivalist at heart.

I understand that when you’re moving independently, it can sometimes feel hard to gain confidence in your choices.

In addition, I know that being a survivalist is sometimes seen as weird or even odd to the people around you, so I encourage you to take precautions if something takes place discreetly.

And remember, you don’t have to tell anyone what they needn’t know!

During a major crisis, if your friends or coworkers know you’ve been stockpiling supplies for an emergency, they’ll come hunting for you, and things could get ugly.

What Preppers Never Talk About

Prepping is rarely talked about in public because of all the misconceptions that exist around the subject.

It’s always a challenge to have a conversation with people about prepping without being criticized or judged.

Preppers are reasonable people, and sadly, everyone seems to judge them because of the crazy things they’re afraid of, which is odd to me.

But preppers are not crazy, and they are just being pragmatic.

What’s crazy is that people are so ok with being at the mercy of someone else to care for them when real catastrophes occur.

So if you’re thinking about prepping, remember that there are others out there just like you, and you’re not alone.

Perhaps the best way to prevent a collapse of civilization is to make sure you have a strong network of trustworthy relationships, both within your community and within your family.

And the best way to build up your network of loyal relationships is to become a person that others can trust.

Why should you become a prepper?

All in all, becoming a prepper is a much better option than losing your home and becoming homeless because of a stock market crash, a plague, an EMP bomb, or a local natural disaster.

why should you become a prepper

Although becoming a prepper can be a lot of work, there are several reasons why it will be the best decision you ever make:

  1. You’re making sure your family is safe in the event of a natural disaster.
  2. You’re being prepared for the possibility of a financial crisis.
  3. You’re ensuring that you have options in the event of a social or political crisis.

Preparing for emergencies is essential for today’s world.

With natural disasters being so prevalent, it is vital to have a plan in place to ensure your safety and the safety of your loved ones.

So what are you waiting for? Start stocking up on food, water, and supplies today!

To Sum it Up

So what’s the answer to the question, what are preppers and are they paranoid?

For me, it’s simple. Warn your family and tell them not to tell anyone about your preparations.

If your spouse doesn’t understand why you’re doing what you’re doing, try to explain why it’s so important to be prepared.

At the end of the day, you must do what is necessary.

A winner is someone who has the confidence and desire to do what others will not.

So keep going without losing your motivation.

It’s always better to be prepared for a crisis than to be caught off guard. Always keep that in mind.
